So, this certainly isn't a topic involving "serious" Tolkien discussion, but it certainly is something to ponder (or a way to make LOTR sound boring).

How Property Law Works in Middle-Earth

I suppose if it makes something as confusing as property law easier to understand, so much the better!

Hehe, yeah, this was a bit boring. If the countries of ME had been democracies I suppose weŽd have an interesting case of international law and relations too.

It was interesting. One point they missed - for an immortal being, such as Sauron and the Elves, 3000 years would be a mere drop in the bucket when talking about abandonment. Can you really abandon something that is stolen from you?
