We have some very dear friends who live in West Virginia. I've known them since I was 7 (years and years and years ago), when they moved in just 2 doors down from us. Bob passed away last night. He had been suffering from Alzheimer's for over a year.

I know he's in Heaven, rejoicing to be home with his beloved heavenly Father. With his health problems, I know he's better off. He is survived by his wife, a lovely, wonderful woman, who is truly the kindest, best person I've ever known.

I may not be here for the next week, as we're going up tomorrow night, and I may stay there all next week.

Well, I hope he passed peacefully, Alzheimers is a difficult thing. Condolences and regards to the family, and to you as well, Kaz.

Ah, that's sad to hear, kaz. It's comforting to know he's at peace, though.

Yeah, Heaven is better than this old world ever could be, so I'm sure he's in peace now.

I'm back!

Thank you all. Donna seemed to doing okay; she's such a lovely person and beloved by everyone, so it seemed like the phone never stopped ringing with people calling to see how she was doing. Bob was cremated on Sunday, and we're going back up next Wednesday for the memorial service; the church is sure to be packed.

But in all the phone calls, we learned a boyfriend of hubby's had passed away last Thanksgiving. Still, we are rejoicing he's home with the Lord.
