Hey everyone! jedi's managed to get SoV back up and running so hopefully it'll be business as usual once everyone's knows it's back (http://forums.shoresofvalinor.com/ for those of you who've memory problems ;)).

Well, there wasn´t as much action after the mvoie hype passed, and the board being down every other month didnt´help. I´m only involved as a mod, so dont´know much about the actual running of the board, and Jedi disappears every now and then and comes back after a couple of months, so most of us have no idea what´sgoing on.

My gut tells me that I really don't think that SoV is ever going to return. Maybe they already started another forum with a different name with a different hosting service.

Fortunately, Barahir archived the whole Castle at SoV in a notepad, so it can be saved for posterity. Whenever it pops up again we should start preserving Kebabia and the other boardfics in case it ever bites the dust for good. ;)

I really don't know what the big deal is...it's hardly like they need a bigger server than Rohan does, and we're running very comfortably with a server at $5 a month. Bet they could get by with cheaper even. Dunno why they still have the same old server...oh well.

Well, I got a mail fro mBeren yesterday, and he claims Jedi and Glandros are working on redesigning the board. So there´s still a chance it´l lbe back.

Berencamlost. And I just talked to Glandros, and he said there wa sstill hope, but nothing was goingto happen in the immediate future. Jedi is too busy with othe rstuff to have muc htime for the board.

Yes, and he´s still a mod at SoV. And there used t obe 10-15 people online back in the day, but the last year or two there were rarely more than 5-6. And I don´t think Beren is a STar WArs fan. He likes history and stuff.

I met him about two years ago. He´s quite a character. It seems the only posting he´s done recently is at the malazan board, though.
