What are your favorite games? I'll elaborate on mine later.
Continuing the discussion started in the "What are you reading thread," I like Age of Mythology too. It contains aspects of three of the world's most interesting mythologies: Greek, Egyptian, and Norse. It's cool, because besides normal human fighting units from ancient times, you can use myth units as well.

My favorites include: Age of Mythology, NHL 2004, RotK, FIFA 2003, SIMCITY 4 (though I haven't felt like playing it in a long time), Madden 2004. That's about it. The first three have fulfilled my gaming thirst the last few months. :p

I'd have to say: AoE, AoE:RoR, AoE II, C&C: Red Alert, C&C: Red Alert 2, Warcraft III (ex), War of the Ring, Starcract, Sronghold, Stronghold: Crusader (both very good games - would recommend), Warcraft II, Sim City 4, Spy Hunter, ICO, Starwars: Jedi Starfighter, Burnout 2, NHL 2004, Return of the King, Armored Core, Armored Core 2, Armored Core 2: Another Age, Armored Core 3, Silent Line: Armored Core, NASCAR Heat 2002, and Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn. *whew*

Looks like you're quite a gamer, Barahir! I like the Age of Empires series, and most sports games made by Electronic Arts. I still enjoy playing a lot of the classic games once in a while, like Final Fantasy VII and VIII, and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I didn't realize at first this included console games, so I will add The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and Ocarina of time. Both games are super! :)c

Hmmm... I suppose nobody else here likes games?

The best game ever is Splinter Cell, but its extremely hard to beat.

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan. I've got VII, VIII, IX, X, and X-2, and I will soon be getting XII. :) As far as other games go I like NCAA 2003, Return of the King, and most any Star Wars game.

I now have Age of Mythology: Titans, and it's a nice addition to Age of Mythology. :)
I feel like playing Ocarina of Time sometime again. That would be fun. I have it on the computer (not sure if it's legal or not, I'm a bit leery about playing it, though I do have the original game). I'd like to get it for the Gamecube cheap somewhere. They had a version that came with Wind Waker... :)

I love The Legacy of Kain series. Its a game built around a story which is how all games should be. Worship at the alter of Kain.:chainsaw
Anyone remember Syphon Filter from a couple of years ago on the PS1?

Yeah, I still play Syphon Filter 3 sometimes. I don't think I ever beat the original one, though.

I despise the third game with the very essense of my being. The original game had the best bosses {Antoine Girdeux} but the second game was better overall. But the third game....... It was like they took a giant leap backwards with the graphics and story. Evil, evil game. It deserves to be exorcised.:chainsaw

Boy, do I agree with that. I finally gave up. I can't remember where I'm at, but I keep getting caught.:(
I don't own a PC. so my favorite XBox games at the mo' are Deus Ex: Invisible War, Halo, Star Wars KOTOR and as soon as it gets cheaper, I'll purchase FIFA 2004.:)

Have you tried getting Walkthroughs for Splinter Cell on the internet? :)

My current favourite is Medieval Total War (with the Viking expansion pack)

Bere, yup' I actually watched a Cheat special on G4TV and saw how the guy gets through the area. I just keep messing up and getting busted. That's probably why I like Deus Ex more. You can save during missions so if you do get shot, or accidently knock off a "friend", you can reload from your last save. In Splinter Cell you have to start the entire mission over.:\

My favorite games are Morrowind and Homeworld.
Thus far, Morrowind is the single best RPG I have ever encountered, and Homeworld is quite simply the Emperor of all 3D RTS games.
Can't wait to take a crack at Homeworld 2!!

You should talk to fingolfin about Morrowind. He was really into it for a while. :Dc

My only question is, why oh why don't they ever make MORE of the really good types?
Has no one developed another RPG with an environment that is as...interactive as Morrowind? I sure haven't found one.

I haven't tried it out yet, but it has been strongly recommended to me by some and looked down upon by others...

Which game is that?

Morrowind.
It has the most in-depth environment I've ever seen in a game - you can pretty much litterally go anywhere and pick up anything, and there are hundreds of potential side quests not related to the story line, depending on how you develop your character.

I think he's talking about Morrowind.;)
Yes, Wolfhound, I do enjoy Morrowind. Unfortunately, I have only played the XBox version, which (without those nice patches available to PC users) can freeze up from time to time, making the playing experience less enjoyable.:( Actually, I hadn't played it for a few months until a few days ago. I do wish that there were more games like Elder Scrolls III around. My only wish is that with ES IV, the missions will be a little more "Puzzle" savvy. Sometimes it gets real easy to just go kill someone, or steal something. A little thinking would be nicer.:D
Do you play it on PC, and if so, do you download a lot of Mods.?

All time favourites are AoEII (Conquerors expansion of course), Homeworld (and Homeworld II and Homeworld: Cataclysm), Perfect Dark for the N64, Halo, and Super Smash Bros Melee

I can't wait for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to come out. I plan on building a gaming puter soon, so I'll start getting into Half Life 2 as well. Might try WoW so I can meet some hot emo girls online. :lol

I've hardly played any computer cames lately...and no console games. Better things to do, really. I sold my Xbox. Still have my Gamecube though..the one game I want to play now is Zelda: Twilight Princess!!!!!!
The only games I've played regularly in the not-quite-so-distant-past are NHL 2006 and PES 4.

I know...I haven't touched my XBox since I got broadband. When I get a new 'puter, I'll probably use it even less (if less than zero is possible). Even better, when I start umpiring in April, gaming will be pretty much non-existent. I can't wait until I play Half Life 2 though. ;)
